We LOVE Gymnastics...

The girls have been lucky to participate in some gymnastics classes this past month with their favorite coach EVER, Coach Tracy. Happy, ecstatic, overjoyed...all words that could describe how they are when they're on the mats. They love gymnastics. Love. Love. Love. Thanks Tracy for making tumbling time so much fun!!
It might be fun to remember down the road what the girls' favorite things are right now. SO, at the moment, Aiden's favorite thing to do is a Straddle Roll and Reilly's favorite thing to do is a Cartwheel. Both girls love the back-walkover wheel and the mini trampolines as well. The two older girls (they are sisters) in the class are amazing...and Aiden and Reilly quickly became their little shadows. These photos are from their final day of class, their show day, and Aiden and Reilly were a little disappointed that they weren't going to be able to continue on for the next session. Hopefully we can get the girls into something over the summer...but in the meantime, they will have to settle for tumbling around at home on the gym mats I was lucky enough to find at Goodwill last week (have I mentioned how much I love bargain-hunting?!).

Happy tumbling everyone!!

All About Asthma...

Aiden and Reilly had an asthma check up today, and I decided to snap some photos so that those who are fortunate enough NOT to have to deal with the hassle of it...or for those who just might be curious what an asthma check-up is like...you can see firsthand the "excitement" of our exams. The girls helped take a few photos, so some of these are directly from their point of view. As for the ones I took, sorry for the blurriness...I only had the camera on my phone and it's hard to hold steady for a clear shot while I'm holding Mac in the other hand...I hope you can forgive me.
Waiting, waiting, waiting...
...and waiting some more...
Might as well get some reading done...
...and enjoy the view...
...and look at the cool ceiling lights...
At least Roo is in good spirits...
...she does have her pretty shoes on, after all.
This is the breathing machine...
Aiden started the tests, but Roo stayed close behind for moral support...
The balloon test (1 of 3 tests)...Reilly loves it, Aiden not so much...
Now Roo gets ready to start her tests...

45 minutes or so later, the testing is all done...now we're just waiting for the doctor to come in and give us our new treatment plan.
And that's it! We are all done for now. The girls did great and showed significant improvement from our visit 2 months ago. The girls' treatment plan was changed from 2 meds/2 breathing treatments a day to 2 meds/1 breathing treatment a day. In 3 weeks, we get to reduce the treatment to 1 med/1 breathing treatment a day. Hopefully, we'll get to the point where we don't have to do daily breathing treatments at all! Fingers crossed...and celebrating that we are done with today's appointment! Yay!!

10 Months New....

Uh-oh....we are in the double digits now. That means we are getting close to the one year mark...something I am absolutely NOT ready for. Time has been moving too quickly with this little baby girl...she is constantly moving and trying to keep up with her big sisters. I remember time going by fast with the twins, but I just figured that's because there were 2 babies to look after and everything was a blur. I had hoped that things wouldn't go by as quickly with MacKenzie, but I'm afraid that's not the case. However - rather than sit here and lament about how time is slipping by, this post should be focusing on MacKenzie's monthly milestones. Here's looking at you, you adorable 10-month old girl!

Monthly Tid-bits... I now have 6 1/2 teeth, and my back gums have started swelling where my molars are going to come in. I scoot and army crawl, and while I have started pulling myself up onto things (like the drawers on the TV dresser), I am not ready to try walking yet. I love mealtime and am willing to try most anything. I'm a pretty messy eater but that ensures I get to enjoy my favorite part of the day - bathtime.

Best Mates...

These little lasses sure had a great time with their cousins today. So glad we were able to meet up for an afternoon of fun in Seaport Village!

Bonzai Goodness...

Okay, okay. I will admit that I was a little hesitant to jump on the Bonzai Train at first. BUT, once I decided to try it out, I fell in love. Yes. I love Bonzai Bowl, but at $7 or more a pop (for the large ones...MacKenzie likes to share them), it's not really in the budget to go often. SO, here is my solution...my own homemade Bonzai-esque concoction.
Hope your morning started off as deliciously as ours!

PIT: Fun With Sisters...

Reilly got hold of the camera (again)...and even though a few turned out blurry, I think she got some pretty fun pics. These 3 girls sure do have some good times together. Oh, how I hope this continues for many, many, MANY more years to come. This little post is for my photographer in training.

In Review: February 2012

February has been a month of ups and downs. The ups included a week off from school, a fun-filled visit to Arizona, Valentine's day goodies and parties and fun, and some much needed twin & dad alone time. The downs include continued/repeated sickness for me and the twins (meaning sick days from school), asthma testing and treatments for Reilly and Aiden, RSV & a double ear infection for MacKenzie. I don't understand what is different about this year, but we just can't seem to get rid of these germs that are making us sick. I feel like we have been quarantined since December...but I would much rather keep the germs within our little brood than spread them to our friends and neighbors.

All I can say is that I HOPE (I hope. I hope. I hope.) the new month means improved health and a lot more fun for all of us. I have tried to post throughout the month, the up and ups rather than the downers, but here are some of the remaining photos from our February.

Lost Tooth, Buck Teeth, and a Goose Egg...

A Lost Tooth - Reilly lost her second tooth today. It's been loose for a while, but she didn't want to pull it. Today at school, a friend told Roo she should just take it out...and she did.

A Goose Egg - Ever wonder what happens when two mischeivous little 6 year olds decide to play around in their baby sister's stroller despite their mom's protests and requests to knock it off?! Yup...a rather LARGE goose egg and a scratched face...definitely not the highlight of our day.

Buck Teeth - I know the photo is blurry, but I absolutely love, love, LOVE it because it caught Mac's adorable buck-toothed smile. I can't help but melt when I see this toothy grin...it instantly brightens my day.
