Scrap Haps...

Wait, what?! Becky actually scrapped something?! I know, I know...it has been quite some time since I scrapped a page or two. My mojo pretty much disappeared after Baby #3 came into our lives and it is {just}finally starting to come back. Yay! Even though I do not plan to take on quite as many Creative Team commitments as I previously had (at least, not for the time being), there are some fun things I have planned that will hopefully keep me in the digiscrap loop and keep the creativity flowing.

First, there is a year-long A-Z Challenge hosted by Michelle Batton (one of my fave designers and digi friends) that I plan to participate in...even though the only thing I've completed so far is the cover page. Guess I better get scrapping to make up for the challenges I've missed, eh? Second, although I technically resigned from the FPD Site CT after having MacKenzie, I have been making the sales ads, banners, and product ads for the Designer Collabs that appear in the weekly newsletter and forums. This means that you may occasionally see a layout or two using some of the fantastic kits from the FPD shop.  Third, I DID reach out to one of my all time favorite designer, Sarah Jones, and ask if I could create some pages using her amazing kits. Luckily, she said YES, which means you should be seeing quite a few layouts featuring Sarah's creations. I am very excited and thankful that Sarah decided to let me create for her.

Scrap Haps for June and July

So, I've only scrapped a few pages in the past couple of months...nothing like having a new baby in the house to put a stop to all creative endeavors!! The desire is there, but I just don't seem to have the time or energy to get on the computer and scrap as I would like. I'm working on it though, and hope to get more pages scrapped in August. ScrapMatters Speed Scrap #304 - TODAY

In case anyone happens to have some free time on their hands, I just wanted to let you know that I'm hosting a speed scrap over at ScrapMatters.  Here's the info....

**Figured I would come back and show of the layout I created for the Speed Scrap. If you want to follow along (better late than never), you can catch the instructions in the ScrapMatters forum HERE. The theme for the SS was to scrap about something...be it a person, a hobby, a place, or a food...that you love. I chose to scrap about the girls' FAVORITE food of all time...pancakes.

As much as I love scrapping, I had to make the very difficult decision to step down from a few of my CT committments. With going back to work and having to figure out a new work/sleep/live schedule, I felt it was the right time to cut back on some of my "extracurricular" activities so that I could better focus on Doug, the girls, and our home. I have decided to stay on the site CT's, but for the time being I will no longer be creating for individual designers. It was a really hard decision but it is better for me, our family, and now those designers will be able to get someone who can better promote and publicize their creations. That being said, you probably won't see as many scrapbook layouts from this point forward. I'm still scrapbooking, just not in the mass quanties I was before!
