**An alternate title for this post would be: "If you can't beat them, join them"**
After seeing this post on a few of my friends' and family members' blogs, I have decided to give in and see what memories people have of me. I am putting myself on the chopping block, so let the memories roll...whether they are happy, sad, embarrassing, scandalous, silly, or whatever other adjective you may come up with.
So, here are the rules:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If you don't have a google ID you can post a comment and click anonymous as your identity -- just make sure to sign your name so I know who you are!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.It should be funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you (or if you don't have a blog I will e-mail you my memory!).
I remember when we met you the first time, David said she seems really nice, and that you all were very much alike.
ReplyDeleteI remember thinking she is a pretty hip chick and has cute style. You do have a nack for style! love you
I remember...hmm...what don't I remember...dressing up, dancing to 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, the cartwheel/slash blow to the stomach, your middle of the night freak out when the spider fell on your bed, doing the caterpillar in bed with Em, punches to the stomach, body slams against the wall, butt wars while brushing our teeth, you doing my hair "curly" for the first time, borrowing your clothes, getting pina colada slurpees at 7-Eleven, lying to get out of going to work so I could spend the weekend with you in Oceanside, sitting next to you while you wrote jingles for girls camp at the stereo, your obsession with Chicago...the music group...not the city :) walking up to Express Stop, eating kumquats on the way home from Valencia Elementary while avoiding the bullies Megan and Melissa, oh and watching New Kids on the Block in concert on TV...good enough?
ReplyDeleteso, I know I dont know you really, but I remember you teaching Sunday school at the palomar singles ward and I thought " she is a great teacher!" you did not seem nervous or scared and I could never get up in front of all those people and do that! I still couldn't!
ReplyDeleteI remember late nights looking for ice cream in Provo, "Special K" style, among other things. And how you made the first few years of college bearable.
ReplyDeleteAll of my memories are from family reunions...obviously...swimming at Aunt Cathy's pool...your beautiful home in Upland...the Lake Powell reunion-sleeping on the top deck (that was so fun)...I always thought you were so cool cuz you were from Cali. :)
ReplyDeleteThere's way too many so I'll just say one of the most recent, and that's going to the zoo with you and the girls. I loved being able to spend that time with you guys, and even though the girls got a little cranky, it was probably the best part of the trip out to see you at the start of the year.
